Four things worth knowing
A few simple things can make a big difference to your claim. Here are four things to know to help things go smoothly.
How to make a claim
Your policy documents explain how to make a claim. The steps below give you an overview of what happens and when.
If you’re unsure about anything in your policy, our guide to understanding your policy wording explains what to look for.
Not sure if you can or should make a claim? Get in touch and we’ll help you work out what to do next.
Notify us of the claim
If something happens that could lead to a claim, let us know as soon as you’re aware of it. You don’t need to wait until you know for certain — you can notify us on a precautionary basis, even if it seems small or you’re not sure it’s covered.
You can get in touch through your online portal, by phone or by email. We aim to respond within two working days.
Let us know as soon as you can — ideally within 30 days of becoming aware of anything that could lead to a claim. Even if it seems small or you’re not sure it’s covered, it’s worth telling us about it. You can get in touch through your online portal, by phone or by email.
Not sure if it’s worth mentioning? If something’s happened that could mean your insurer needs to make a payment, it’s a good idea to let us know. [Timeframes and Agreed SLAs with Claims]

Claims FAQs
How do I make a claim?
The quickest way to log a claim is through your customer portal.
You don’t need a password. Just enter the email address associated with your policy and we’ll send you a magic link. From there, give us the details of what’s happened and we’ll get things moving.
If you can’t remember the email address associated with your policy, email us at hello@gosuperscript.com.
What’s Superscript’s role in my claim?
Superscript is your insurance broker, not your insurer. That means we’re here to support you through the claims process and liaise with your insurer on your behalf.
Your insurer is responsible for assessing your claim, deciding whether it’s covered and determining the outcome. We’ll work with you and your insurer to help keep things moving.
I’m not sure if I have a claim. What should I do?
If something has happened that you think your insurance might cover, the best thing to do is let us know — even if you’re not sure whether you have a claim.
Log the details through your customer portal and we can help you understand what happens next.
What happens after I log a claim?
Once you’ve logged your claim, we’ll review the information you’ve provided and let you know if anything else is needed.
We’ll then work with you and your insurer as the claim progresses. Your insurer will assess the claim and make the decision on whether it’s covered under your policy.
Providing all the information and supporting documents requested as soon as you can will help avoid unnecessary delays.
How long does a claim take?
There’s no single timeframe because every claim is different. How long yours takes will depend on things like the type and complexity of the claim, the information required and your insurer’s assessment.
Providing any requested information and documents as early as you can can help avoid unnecessary delays, but every claim will be considered based on its individual circumstances.
How and will my claim be settled?
How your claim is settled will depend on the type of claim, your policy and your insurer. If your claim is accepted, your insurer will explain the settlement available to you and what happens next. This could include a payment, repair or replacement, depending on the terms of your policy.
